The Company (”Nux”) was founded in Barcelona by Maïté Delafin in 2006. Nux held residencies at Dance Base (Edinburgh/UK), Dance House (Glasgow/UK), La Caldera (Barcelona/Spain) and at the Choregraphic Centre of Galicia (A Coruña/Spain) resulting in 4 works: L’épaisseur des choses (The density of things), Déixame bostezar (Let me yawn), Grounds, and Imprints that we will premiere at the CCA (Glasgow) on the 2nd October as part of the Scottish Mental Health Festival .
Currently, Maïté Delafin (Artistic Director) is based in Edinburgh (Scotland/UK) where she develops new projects in collaboration with UK based artists. One of which resulted in Grounds, a solo work in collaboration with the violonist Poppy Ackroyd that has been programmed for the Fringe Edinburgh Festival 2009 and selected for the international solo competition Masdanza 2009 in the Canary Islands.
